Fourth outing for that nosy picture-taking adventurer!

You cannot pass
Us hobbits visited Ost Dunhoth earlier this year, to pay our respects to kick the biscuits out of a balrog feller called Durin's Bane. It was grand fun as usual, there is simply no substitute for hobbits if yer want to spice up yer adventuring with lots of pie breaks and falling off ledges.
As usual, I spent more time trying to get grand screenshots than actually fighting, and I grabbed this here hobbits-eye view of the big meanie. It is quite a way up there if I'd like to hit him. Of course, he has a long way down if he wants to hit me too. Um... tries to look convinced
The taming of the shrew
So there I was busy traversing the grassy plains of Rohan, when I came over a mortal enemy. And how dang large it was too! Enough to make a hobbit despair, it was.
I even wrote two songs about shrews back in the day, this one and this one. Never wrote about a giant shrew, though. 's too sad a topic for a song, I suppose.

Run Forrest
Fast and nimble does it when yer outrunning things, even fiery projectiles warm enough to roast yer biscuit jars. One time I visited the walls of Minas Tirith, them folks below rolled out catapults and started lobbing stuff after me. So I tried to look all worried, played around with various camera angles, then spent 15 minutes running back and forth on that wall trying to make a decent screenshot of a worried catapult-escaping hobbit. This was the result.
I'm just glad them didn't throw shrews after me.
Theme series special: Strange clothes pics
The LOTRO cosmetic system is a grand one, allowing yer to tailor outfits to yer own preference. Sometimes, this leads to rather nice pictures too, and below are some favourites of mine.
Yellow power! Master Chumbly has good taste in clothes.
One time, I visited the Gondamon treasure dig site, and local shirriff Nimelia was there too. All of a sudden, there were two more Nimelias there. Or rather, two other characters dressed just like her. Totally unplanned, but a grand time was had when chuckling at the three bounders staring at each other.
Another time, me, Tallic and Fredin showed up wearing the same tunic at the hobbit market in Michel Delving. At least we didn't colour-coordinate too first...
The hobbit lads on Laurelin often place bets involving them having to wear dresses if them lose. They always end up losing. 's like them like wearing dresses, really... Here's Potty after losing a bet to Anysia.
Of course, some lads don't have to lose bets to wear dresses. Here is Jiro after, um, borrowing a dress from my own clothesline.
"Come play with us, Lina". Holly and cousin at the Green Dragon, reminding me of one of the scariest movie scenes I have seen...
Back in 2011, Codemasters ran a screenshot competition. One of the categories was "most dangerous party location", and a bunch of us green-dressed hobbits climbed up on a post box in Brockenborings to party. We won the competition too!
Trees Tall and Umber
In most of the videos I make, I try to go for a somewhat epic feeling; loud dramatic music, quick cuts, filters, shaky cams, playing around with lightning and colours, etc. Sometimes, though, it is fun to try for something different, something more subtle and mellow. None more so than "Trees Tall and Umber".
This is one of my favourite videos, based on a set of song lyrics I wrote for the song "Fine Flowers in the Valley". This is slow and steady stuff, mostly based on moving camera shots from a walk through Lothlorien. No, hobbits don't often visit them elven lands, but I thought the mix between the melancholy forest and a simple, sad story from the Shire could be an interesting one. I think it matches the song and the lyrics well.
Additionally, this is the first time I played around with sound samples in Komplete, to get a richer sound than just using the LOTRO ABC samples. It sure made a difference to me. I hope yer agree!
