A song about me dog, Abby, and how she spreads joy in the neighbourhood! For some...
About the song
Best sung to the tune of Kenny Rogers' "For the Good Times", I wrote this because I wanted a warm, tender song about me dog. No, not Ruff, he's mostly lazying around in Brockenborings these days. This one is about Abby, one of Ruff's daughters and just about the sweetest pup yer can imagine!
Well, yer might need some imagination too, because, well, yer will see... Enjoy!
Lyrics: Grand Abby Song
Carefree she runs Into the village Chasing the lads bringing me mail It's quick post pillage Stealing a steak or even three From Tibba's table And her barks make garden dwarves quite unstable
There you are Sweetest Abby Yer me joy and pride and always me best friend Come and lie beside the fire In our home here in the Shire Another lovely day is at an end Them were good times
Scaring the chucks near Rubellita Burying bones in Reavah's yard, Even Anerra's No fishing poles are ever safe not even ore crates When a sheepdog pup comes crashing through your closed gates
There you are Sweetest Abby Yer me joy and pride and always me best friend Just beware the local bounder And come share this plate of flounder Another lovely day is at an end Them were good times
For the good times
And here is the Kenny Rogers original.
