UserChatter is a simple plugin to assist in the use of user chat channels. It provides buttons to join, leave and talk into the 4 user chat channels available in the game to save you having to remember what the command are. It also remembers previously joined channels, making it much it easier to re-join a channel you have previously left.

Installation
Unzip the zip file and move the “Simbo” folder to your “Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/Plugins” folder.
Usage
UserChatter can be loaded via the in-game Plugin Manager (or a custom one), or with the following command line option: /plugins load userchatter
Once installed and loaded, the following commands are available.
/userchatter show – Shows the plugin /userchatter hide – Hides the plugin /userchatter toggle – Toggles the plugin
(In the French client use “afficher”, “masquer” and “basculer”. In the German client use “anzeigen”, “verstecken” and “umschalten”).
Note that initially the plugin will show a message about pressing the Refresh button. This is because plugins cannot access what user chat channels in directly, and so it relies on you running the command to list channels so it gather the information. Once Refresh is pressed, the user chat channels you are in should be listed, with buttons available to join a new one, leave an existing one, as well as a text box to talk into a channel.
Display with chat channels refreshed
Also note there may be a bug in LOTRO when joining channels, whereby it reports the wrong chat channel number for the new channel. If UserChatter detects a possible issue, then it highlights the Refresh button in red, and pressing it should update the channel information in the plugin.
