A very merry Yuletide to one and all! Here's one of them first songs I ever wrote!
Best sung to the tune of "Dainty Davey", below in a lovely version sung by Luke Kelly of The Dubliners, this was written more than three years ago. I think it was in preparation for the Grand Order Yule party back in 2010. I always liked the tune, and it is grand fun remembering the lyrics when Yule approaches every year. Enjoy!

A Very Merry Yuletide
As winter fills the air with cold The frost affects both young and old We need some cheer in our household We prepare for a very merry Yuletide We scrub the burrow squeaky clean Our larder's full, the silver sheens The livingroom's all red and green In time for a very merry Yuletide
All worries of the year that has passed Are swept away when we at last Pick up our brooms and work quite fast Just in time for a very merry Yuletide We scrub the burrow squeaky clean Our larder's full, the silver sheens The livingroom's all red and green In time for a very merry Yuletide
At last we all sit down to dine We light the lamps and pour the wine We cut into a pie so fine And we have us a very merry Yuletide We scrub the burrow squeaky clean Our larder's full, the silver sheens The livingroom's all red and green It's time for a very merry Yuletide
We lick the plates all squeaky clean Then lean back with looks serene The larder's looking ever so lean For we had a very merry Yuletide
