The shrews run wild! Eek! Although, that makes fer a fun subject fer another song!
Best sung to the tune of Alexander's Hornpipe, this is one of the very first song lyrics I wrote a few years ago, and definitely the first I wrote to a tune that has no lyrics to begin with. Which is a challenge and a half, I can tell yer. Still, I thought them shrew-chasers needed their own song, so here goes.
The song is halfway inspired by some of the wilder food items the hobbits on Laurelin sometimes think of. Miss Mo is an expert there, she bakes pies that can take down orcs after a direct hit. I am not sure she ever made shrewberry pies, but it wouldn't surprise me if this is where I got that particular inspiration! The real fun part of the song was to come up with enough berries to fill the chorus...
I rarely perform this song in the game, because the song is just too fast for the lyrics to keep up. Slowing down would be an option, but then the song just starts sagging a bit. Better have it lively!
