Grand Weatherstock Song

Us Songburrow Strollers visited Weatherstock again, after winning the Light in the Dark prize last year. So we decided ter write a Grand Weatherstock Song fer the occasion. So how did it all go?

Well, it didn't help us win the Light prize this year, and in the end we lost a hard-fought Battle of the Bands duel with them lovely lads and lasses in Mornie Alantie. But after a nerve-wrecking vote, we just narrowly managed ter grab the Lonely Mountain Cup in the end! Hooray! So come sing along with us!

Best sung to the tune of Jennifer Juniper by that talented hobbit Donovan. We played a slightly bouncier version at Weatherstock, which had the audience dancing along nicely!

Oh, and the picture above? That's grabbed from Rowana's album from the night. Yer can see that and other things over at the Grand Order forums!

Oh oh, and finally? Many warm thanks ter them faboulous Lonely Mountain Band. fer all their hard and magnificent work on arranging Weatherstock! And fer voting biscuits in the end. Yer surely deserve some! And everyone else, be sure ter listen to LMB's own very grand Weatherstock Forever song!

Now then, them lyrics...

Grand Weatherstock Song

Weatherstock, Weatherstock, high upon the hill Weatherstock, Weatherstock, time it just stands still Time ter go and play our tunes there Songs of biscuits float through the air We're the Strollers, dance with us tonight

Weatherstock, Weatherstock, lots of people there Weatherstock, Weatherstock, flowers in their hair We have come here from the Shire Over hills and through the mire We're the Strollers, dance with us tonight

And yer should know, hobbits are not very hard ter please Just serve us ale, and biscuits and pie, then jump up high And come bounce the night away with us now

Weatherstock, Weatherstock, hands up in the air Weatherstock, Weatherstock, sing with voices fair Be yer hobbit, dwarf or longshanks If yer dance we give yer our thanks We're the Strollers, dance with us tonight

Come and dance with us now Come and dance with us now Come and dance with us now

Weatherstock, Weatherstock, hands up in the air Weatherstock, Weatherstock, sing with voices fair We have come here from the Shire Over hills and through the mire We're the Strollers, dance with us tonight

Come and dance with us now Come and dance with us now Come and dance with us now
