Notes from a hobbit historical field trip to Fornost!
Arnor, Arthedain, Angmar, oh my!
Time for another hobbit historical field trip. Where do we go this time? Fornost!
Tuckborough. Home to Tooks and Thains. The seat of power in the Shire, where hobbit legends whisper to you from the smial walls. Oh, and it is yule soon too. Welcome to the 9th hobbit historical field trip!
Last night was the eight historical field trip! We went into Bindbole Woods fer tales, songs and poems about the woods of the Shire. Here yer can read me lecture notes from the trip and see some pictures!
The Woods of the Shire. Providing hobbits with timber, nuts, berries and game. Home to animals both benign and wild. Crumbling old ruins and tales of mystery. Welcome to the eight historical field trip!
Hobbits sometimes meet dwarves, menfolk or even ellufs. Them meetings can be a bit awkward and then some, but here are ways around that. Especially if yer sing a Grand Hobbity Song!
Needlehole. Near the Shire borders. Visited by travelling dwarves going to and from the Blue Mountains. A good place to visit if one is to learn more about the relationship between hobbits and the other races. Welcome to the seventh hobbit historical field trip!
Here are the notes from the Historical Field Trip to Greenfields on March 4th 2012. Here you’ll learn a bit more about Bullroarer Took and the battle with the goblins. I hope yer enjoy it!
Them Bullroarer celbrations draw near, so we had us a historical field trip to Greenfields last night! We learned more about the battle there with them goblins over 270 years ago, and we ate a lot of sausages and drank a few ales. Here is one of the songs sung about the Bullroarer!
