The Farmers Faire event is on, and the mayor is making a mess in Bywater as usual. The festival has also been merged with the old Summer festival, so there are lots of chores to do.
Farmer’s Faire dates: Start: August 9 @10AM. End: August 30 @3AM. All times servertime,
More information about the event in FibroJedi’s guide.
Ol’ Flourdumpling is busy stuffing his face over in Bywater during the Farmer’s Faire, and there are lots of visitors there stepping on the local hobbits. So naturally, the weekly hobbit inn night will move from the Green Dragon! To The Floating Log!
Date: Friday August 19
Time: 7:30PM UK time (2:30PM servertime)
Location: Floating Log Inn, Frogmorton
Have no fear, master Ponto Hopsbloom is more than happy to welcome hobbits to the Floating Log in Frogmorton. He’ll greet yer all warmly, although hopefully not with warm ale, and better not with the most “hoppy” of the local ales…
Usual Green Dragon Guidelines apply, which means this is an event by and for hobbits. The odd visiting dwarf is always welcome, though! Should yer have any entertainment (songs, stories, riddles, poems or the likes), please bring it along!

All the things we have to hendure!
Date: Sunday 21st August 2022
Time: 7.00 PM UK time/2:00 PM server time
Location: Sandson’s Farm, The Delving Fields, The Shire
Tis time for another Grand Order of the Lost Mathom and Hobbitry-in-Arms hendeavor!
Are you downy folk ready to go to the North Downs and get plucked for pillows? That is, have you ever dreamt of being a chicken? Roaming around with your feet in the dirt, eating worms, living your most feathery life? This could become a reality! It’s time to Fly The Coop and plant our feet into the wide world to solve a cluckish problem and have many meetings with animals on the way.
Join us at Sandson’s farm, where a very charming rooster called George has some dashing chores for us.
OOC Details:
To participate as a chicken you will have to complete the introductory Flying the Coop quests. To do these, travel to Sandson’s farm in the Delving Fields in the Shire and talk to a rooster called George. This will bring you to a quest chain called The Sky is Falling. You will need to complete these to participate as a chicken:
More information is available on the LOTRO Wikipedia:
The Sky Is Falling Quests and Flying The Coop Quests
This time, we will do the North Downs run!
During this event, there will be a few hobbits to herd (protect) our adventuring chickens from being eaten by the dangers lurking in the wild. It’s up to you whether you want to participate as a chicken or a herder.
We will be using the regional chat (/regional) in-game in our chicken forms to communicate with each other. There will be someone in chicken form communicating with the herding team in order to keep us all connected.
This is a hobbit-preferred roleplaying event, though we welcome well-behaved folk of other races.
Meet at Sandson’s Farm in the Delving Fields in the Shire near George the Rooster. If you’re running behind, send a tell to an officer who will assist you in finding us!

Come raise yer glass again!
Date: Friday September 2
Time: 7:30PM UK (2:30PM servertime)
Location: Ivy Bush inn, Hobbiton, The Shire, Laurelin server
Welcome to the annual Bards Day in the Ivy Bush Inn! A day to remember the writers of the tales, poems and songs we treasure today. Not least those related to one of the finest writers we have seen, master Ronald Dwale.
The Brandy Badgers will perform a selection of songs and poems based on the works of master Dwale. Afterwards, the stage will be open for others who would like to share suitable works for the occasion.
This is the 11th time we celebrate Bards Day! Everyone is welcome to attend, so come join us and raise yer glass to them old bards!
OOC details:
J.R.R. Tolkien passed away September 2nd 1973. On this date, every year since 2012, we have paid homage to him with an evening of music and poetry in the Ivy Bush, playing tunes inspired by Tolkien’s works (from the movies or adapted from his writings and poems) and reciting some of Tolkien’s poems.
Players of all sizes and shapes are welcome, but note this is an in-character event. Instead of speaking about Tolkien, the musicians will play songs inspired by Ronald Dwale, Tolkien’s in-game alter ego.
If you have suitable songs or poems to perform during the open stage bit, please keep yer contributions short so there will be room for everyone. If you’d like to sign up in advance, send me a letter.
