Last night was Archet Aid, the solidarity concert for them struggling fellers in the village of Archet! Here yer can find some information and pictures, including the lyrics to “Lovely Archet Dale”
Archet aid
Archet Aid is a roleplaying event on the LOTRO Laurelin server, in the town of Archet. The event was started in 2011 by the band The Chosen Few, who wanted ter put up a slightly different concert for the population of Laurelin. Them thought a solidarity concert for those poor farmers of Archet was a good idea for a yearly event. And since them longshanks take a lot of time rebuilding that village, that’s a grand idea indeed!
This year, the plans were slightly more ambitious than for the 2011 concert. Seven bands played (compared ter five last year), and there was an open stage fer solo entertainers, a hobbity market and a drill show by them Durins Folk. Of course, the concert ended with a truly massive fireworks display!
The event drew a sizeable crowd, not least with many visitors from other servers. If yer liked the event, wander on over to the Archet Aid site and leave a comment there. Or have a look in the official discussion thread on Turbine’s forums. I am sure feedback will be much appreciated!
Thank yer fer organizing, master Grymrock and The Chosen Few!
Yer can see another report from the event, with lots of pictures, over on the Grand Order noticeboard!

Lyrics
In the quiet morning breeze
A lazy mist on blooming fields
Golden sunny rays upon yer trail
There’s a lightness in the air
And the sights are green and fair
As yer walk into the lovely Archet dale
Come see the lovely Archet dale
A place where joy and freedom prevail
Come sit down and share yer tale
While we drink a mug of ale
So be welcome to the lovely Archet dale
In the hazy midday breeze
Yer fall upon yer knees
Cries for aid and help to no avail
There’s no thought beyond the pain
Suffered by the brigand reign
As they trample through the lovely Archet dale
Come see the lovely Archet dale
A place where joy and freedom prevail
Come sit down and share yer tale
While we drink a mug of ale
So be welcome to the lovely Archet dale
Come see the lovely Archet dale
A place where joy and freedom prevail
Come sit down and share yer tale
While we drink a mug of ale
So be welcome to the lovely Archet dale
In the gentle evening breeze
The sadness echoes through the trees
But thoughts of joy and freedom will prevail
It is time ter take a stand
Time ter join yer fellow man
As yer walk into the lovely Archet dale
In the quiet morning breeze
A lazy mist on blooming fields
Golden sunny rays upon yer trail
There’s a lightness in the air
And the sights are green and fair
As yer walk into the lovely Archet dale
Come see the lovely Archet dale
A place where joy and freedom prevail
Come sit down and share yer tale
While we drink a mug of ale
So be welcome to the lovely Archet dale
So be welcome to the lovely Archet dale
