Yesterday was the 4th anniversary concert for the Songburrow Strollers! And here is the Grand Strollers Song!
Best sung to the tune of Molly Malone, here sung by the Dubliners. Condensing four years of Strollers activity into four verses (which mostly consist of the chorus anyways) was a challenge, so it doesn’t go too much into specifics. Still, the chorus could be a good one ter sing along to. Enjoy!
Oh, and apologies in advance to anyone living in Dublin fer, well, changing them lyrics…

The Grand Strollers Song
A late summer wedding, the rumours were spreading
A new hobbit band was to play all night long
Up there on the table, it looked quite unstable
We’re the Songburrow Strollers, come sing to our song
Come sing to our song, come sing to our song
We’re the Songburrow Strollers, come sing to our song
We travelled the Shire, the land we admire
We played all our tunes with a beat true and strong
All hobbits were dancing, between their romancing
We’re the Songburrow Strollers, come sing to our song
Come sing to our song, come sing to our song
We’re the Songburrow Strollers, come sing to our song
We went to the Bree-lands, we played for the farmhands
They spoke of a hill where all music belong
With bouncing and singing, a prize fer our winning
We’re the Songburrow Strollers, come sing to our song
Come sing to our song, come sing to our song
We’re the Songburrow Strollers, come sing to our song
Now home in the Shire, the land we admire
It’s good to be back where we all came along
Up here on the table, it’s still quite unstable
We’re the Songburrow Strollers, come sing to our song
Come sing to our song, come sing to our song
We’re the Songburrow Strollers, come sing to our song
Come sing to our song, come sing to our song
We’re the Songburrow Strollers, come sing to our song
